Preventive Measures
We also offer a patient portal so you can manage your health care online. Once you register, you can log in at any time to:
- Request an appointment
- Update patient forms
- Request prescription refills
- Request and view your medical records and test results
- Pay your bill
- Complete our patient satisfaction survey

Forms for new patients are also available through the patient portal. If you have made your initial appointment, we recommend that you complete the new patient forms prior to your arrival to save time in the office.
If you are new to our patient portal:
- If you have not received authorization to begin using the portal, call our office to obtain a registration PIN.
- Click on the Register link below.
- Follow the directions to create a new account. You will create your user ID and password.
- Once approved by the practice, you can log in and begin using our convenient online services by clicking on the appropriate sections in the dashboard.

Driving directions from 1604 and IH-10:
- Take IH-10 East for about 7 miles.
- Exit 565A toward Balcones Heights
- Merge onto Frontage Road
- Stay left and use the turnaround under the highway to get on the Frontage Road going the opposite direction
- Turn right into the Methodist Texsan parking lot. We are located in the Medical Office Building next to Methodist Texsan Hospital on the second floor: Suite 250.

- Take IH-10 West about 5 miles.
- Exit 565A toward Crossroads Boulevard/Balcones Heights
- Merge onto Frontage Road
- Stay left and do the turnaround under the highway to get on the Frontage Road going the opposite direction
- Turn right into the Methodist Texsan parking lot. We are located in the Medical Office Building next to Methodist Texsan Hospital on the second floor: Suite 250.

Photo ID, insurance information, method of payment (cash, credit, check), any friends or family necessary for assistance with filling out forms or mobilization.
Cash, credit card, personal check. Please be aware that there will be a 3.5% surcharge for all credit card charges.
We will file a claim on the date of the visit. Depending on your insurance, however, you may need a referral to see us.
Call the office number. We also have an automated call system to remind patients of the appointment and you may use this call to cancel as well.
Please be aware that appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a $40 no-show fee.

We will schedule at the appointment or you can call the office for the specific doctor’s MA to schedule the procedure.

We usually perform minimally invasive procedures (not always an option due to patient size or previous surgeries). Dr. Skunda is the only one who performs computer navigated procedures although we are all trained to do them.

We don’t perform cartilage grafting procedures because they are rarely indicated and insurance does not always cover these expensive surgeries.
We do not perform these procedures because, per the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, there is no indication or data to support their use. They are also very expensive and not covered by insurance.
No, but we have good working relationships with multiple physical therapists in San Antonio as well as in other south Texas locations (Laredo, Del Rio, Corpus Christi, etc).
