Dr. Michael L. Jones is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery at the Center for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. A graduate of Texas A & M University, Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed a residency in general surgery at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in Arizona and in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Jones also received fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of Iowa.
Raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Jones has been practicing hand surgery in San Antonio since 1991. He specializes in treating carpal tunnel decompression and performing procedures for the lower arm, elbow, and wrist fractures and dislocations. Dr. Jones is board certified by the American Board of Surgery with added qualifications in surgery of the hand, and by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife, Lori, and their three children and grandchild. He has also found the time to serve as a clinical professor of plastic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
