At the Center for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine in San Antonio, Texas, we have over a century of combined orthopedic experience among our board-certified providers. Each has an average of 30 years of experience providing expert diagnostic and surgical care. The doctors collaborate as a team to treat often complicated, unique, and unusual circumstances so that patients are provided with multiple medical opinions and the best quality care available.

Our Physician Assistant
James Curtis Vaughn, PA-C
James Curtis Vaughn has been our resident physician assistant at the Center for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine since October 2016. After graduating from Excelsior College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in liberal arts/liberal studies, James completed his master’s degree as a physician assistant at the University of Texas-Pan American in 2009.
Prior to joining the Center for Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine team, James served as a physician assistant in cardiology, primary care, surgery, and emergency room settings.
James sees patients in the office and assists our doctors during surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants, and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
